Nothing Sounds Good isn't a band of young kids. It isn't a band where one or more of the guys has money, or from money, or had a parent in the industry. They aren't a band with backing, or a lot of support.But what they are is a great unknown local band with catchy music and intelligent lyrics. Nothing Sounds Good's front man, Sleazy Vegetable Joe, is an over qualified, under achieving, unfiltered, unfeeling, insensitive, loudmouth jerk that will keep you mesmerized and entertained throughout the entire performance. Nothing Sounds Good's guitarist, Chris "Pas" Pasinetti, has been jamming for many years, and will inspire everyone to take up guitar with his catchy riffs and haunting solos. Nothing Sounds Good's drummer, Iggy "Six Guns" Ortega, can hammer those skins as if he were tanning a mammoth hide, and will make you beg your mother to buy you a kit. Nothing Sounds Good's bass player, Matt "The Beast" Woomer, has come back from the dead to play rhythm for the band to show everyone no matter how old you are, you can still rock.
Nothing Sounds Good will be releasing their newest EP entitled "In the United States of Russia" August/September. This latest installment of NSG's music is a particularly pointed tail of the state of their country, but also a clairvoyant crusade into what the future may hold. Songs like "Doomsday" and "Crimea River" are telling lyrical compositions that warn us all of the dangers that possibly lay in wait and the song "Mandy" about how those revalations can haunt us for a lifetime. NSG hopes that everyone who listens to the music will come away with an enlighted sense of purpose and greater sense of being.
